She successfully passed out from the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, (Kerala), bringing pride and glory to her alma mater and her family.

She was commissioned in an impressive passing out parade, that was reviewed by Vice Admiral Sameer Saxena, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Naval Command. Sub Lieutenat Nisha, who has been commissioned in the Education Branch of the Indian Navy is daughter of Sh. Dinesh Chander, who is a Senior Assistant at Punjabi University, Patiala.

Punjab Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training Minister Mr. Aman Arora congratulated Sub Lieutenant Nisha on her remarkable achievement, stating that her success will inspire more young women from Punjab to pursue careers in the defence services. He highlighted Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann led Punjab government's commitment to support aspirations of young women who aim to join the defence forces as commissioned officers.

Notably, the Punjab Government has also established an NDA Preparatory Wing for Girls at Mai Bhago AFPI in July 2023, with the third batch currently undergoing training.
