Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government is steadily advancing urban development across the state. In line with these efforts, development works worth ₹47.86 lakh were launched today in Ward No. 17 of Dhuri city by the Chief Minister’s OSD, Sukhveer Singh. Waqf Board member Dr. Anwar Bhasaur and several other dignitaries were present on the occasion.

Addressing residents, OSD Sukhveer Singh reiterated that providing improved civic infrastructure and basic amenities to citizens is a key priority of the government. He informed that the project covers 10 streets in Ward No. 17 and includes raising low-lying streets, installation of interlocking tiles, and ensuring a proper and sustainable drainage system for rainwater.

He highlighted that streets affected by waterlogging during the rainy season will be upgraded as per technical standards to provide a long-term solution. The use of interlocking tiles will not only strengthen the roads but also enhance the overall appearance of the locality.

Sukhveer Singh further stated that all ongoing development works in Dhuri are being regularly monitored to maintain quality standards and ensure timely execution. He assured that the administration is working proactively to minimize inconvenience to residents during the execution phase.

He added that the government has set a target to complete the majority of development works in Dhuri by May 30, and work is progressing at a fast pace to achieve this goal. He emphasized that similar initiatives aimed at strengthening urban infrastructure will continue in the future.

On the occasion, Billa Dharmasot and a large number of local residents were present, who appreciated the government’s development initiatives and expressed satisfaction over the ongoing works.
