Chief Minister’s OSD Sukhveer Singh today conducted a comprehensive review of ongoing and proposed development works worth ₹52 crore in Dhuri, the Assembly constituency of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. The review was held during a high-level meeting attended by Joint Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Sandeep Singh Garha, Additional Deputy Commissioner Ankur Mahindru and SDM Dhuri Rishabh Bansal, along with senior officials of various departments.

Emphasising the Chief Minister’s commitment to holistic and time-bound development of Dhuri, Sukhveer Singh stated that a detailed micro-management plan has been formulated to ensure the smooth and timely execution of all projects. He announced that weekly review meetings will be conducted to closely monitor progress, strengthen inter-departmental coordination and eliminate any avoidable delays.

The OSD categorically directed that no development project should be held up due to pending NOCs or departmental approvals. In case of any bottlenecks, the matter must be escalated to senior authorities without delay to ensure swift resolution.

Reviewing each project meticulously, Sukhveer Singh stressed that adherence to timelines must go hand in hand with strict quality control. He instructed officials to conduct regular field inspections and ensure that execution standards remain uncompromised.

Highlighting civic priorities, he directed that a permanent and sustainable solution to drinking water supply and sewerage issues across all wards of Dhuri be ensured. He specifically called for the expeditious completion of works related to the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) and Water Treatment Plant (WTP) to guarantee clean drinking water and improved sanitation infrastructure.

Sukhveer Singh further informed that Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is personally monitoring development works in Dhuri and receiving daily progress reports. He cautioned that any negligence or unnecessary delay in execution will invite accountability from the concerned officials.

During the meeting, development works worth approximately ₹14 crore being undertaken by the Public Works Department were also reviewed. These include the construction and strengthening of internal roads in Dhuri city, the Dhuri–Sherpur road via Malo Majra, widening of the Daulatpur road, and the ongoing construction of the Aam Aadmi Clinic at Dashmesh Nagar.

Officials from all concerned departments were present at the meeting.
