With the objective of developing Dhuri as a modern and model city, OSD to the Punjab Chief Minister, Bhagwant Singh Mann, Sukhveer Singh, on Sunday inaugurated various development works worth approximately ₹4.17 crore in Dhuri city. These projects form a key component of the Punjab Government’s sustained efforts to strengthen urban infrastructure and enhance civic amenities for residents.

During the event, OSD Sukhveer Singh inaugurated works worth ₹2.15 crore for the beautification and upgradation of the main entry point of Dhuri city from the Sangrur side in Ward No. 9. He stated that under this project, high-quality tiles will be laid across an area of nearly 80,000 square feet.

To further enhance the city’s visual appeal, 19 single-bracket poles and 12 double-bracket poles will also be installed. He further informed that palm trees will be planted at the entry point and around 40 decorative lights will be installed to highlight the greenery, giving the city entrance an attractive and aesthetically pleasing look, especially during nighttime.

In addition, an ITI road will be constructed at a cost of ₹67 lakh. Apart from this, development works worth approximately ₹1.35 crore were also inaugurated in Ward No. 4 of Dhuri city.
