Punjab Horticulture and Defence Services Welfare Minister Mohinder Bhagat, Chairman Punjab Safai Karamchari Commission Chandan Grewal, Mayor Vineet Dhir, Chairman Punjab Muslim Welfare Development Board Abdul Bahri Salmani and senior AAP leader Nitin Kohli today paid floral tributes to Baba Sahib Dr. B.R. Ambedkar on his Maha Pre-Nirvan Diwas here at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Chowk.

Addressing the gathering, the Cabinet Minister urged people—particularly the youth—to draw deep inspiration from the life, values, and revolutionary vision of Dr. Ambedkar. He said that Baba Sahib’s philosophy has become even more relevant in contemporary times, offering a guiding light for a more just and humane society.

Highlighting Dr. Ambedkar’s contributions, Mr. Bhagat said that the principles of equality, social justice, and women’s empowerment laid down by him have profoundly shaped India’s destiny and strengthened its foundation as the world’s largest democracy.

Calling Dr. Ambedkar a great visionary, the Minister, the Chairmen, and the Mayor noted that it was his foresight that gifted India one of the most dynamic and progressive constitutions in the world, safeguarding the rights and dignity of every citizen.

They added that granting right to vote to all the citizens was another historic milestone that empowered all Indians after independence from British rule. They further said that Dr. Ambedkar crafted a constitution that embraces every section of society and promotes harmony, brotherhood, and national unity.

They appealed to citizens to follow Baba Sahib’s ideals in daily life, saying that living by his principles would be the truest tribute to one of India’s greatest nation-builders.
