For the commemoration of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the Punjab administration has set up three large tent cities. These tent cities provide completely free accommodation for thousands of devotees. The most special thing is that these tent cities have been built in a very excellent manner.

Devotees staying in the tent city have highly praised the administration’s arrangements. Common people have received great convenience here. Despite the entire arrangement being free, no shortage has been kept. A clean and comfortable atmosphere has been created in every tent.

The administration has also made excellent arrangements to protect from the cold. Warm blankets and mattresses have been provided in every tent. Keeping the winter season in mind, the tents have been set up in such a way that cold air cannot enter inside. Full attention has been paid so that devotees can sleep comfortably even when the temperature drops at night.

People are surprised to see the tent city’s construction that such excellent arrangements are completely free. Every tent has electricity and light facilities. Toilets and bathrooms are also clean. Separate arrangements have been made for drinking water.

Transportation facility has also been kept completely free. Shuttle buses and e-rickshaws are available every few minutes to go from the tent city to the Gurudwara. Devotees don’t have to walk anywhere. All this service is being provided without any charge.

Medical facilities have also been provided in the tent city. Doctors and paramedical staff are present 24 hours. Medicines are also being given free. Special care arrangements are there for elderly people and children. Hot and nutritious food is being served in the langar.

Strong security arrangements have also been made. Police and volunteers are deployed in the tent city all the time. CCTV cameras have been installed. Separate arrangements have been made for the safety of women and children. There is full lighting even at night.

The Punjab government’s tent city arrangement has proven that free doesn’t mean poor quality. Devotees said that these are very good arrangements. Staying in the tent city, they got home-like comfort. This arrangement has proven to be a blessing for every person who came to participate in Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s commemoration. The government’s effort is being appreciated everywhere.
