Cabinet Minister Dr. Balbir Singh condemned the derogatory remarks made by Khalistan supporter Gurpatwant Pannun about the Constitution's architect, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar. He said that anti-Punjab forces like Pannun cannot tolerate the state's progress and are trying to disturb Punjab’s peace and harmony. However, the AAP government will not let their plans succeed.

Dr. Balbir emphasized that Babasaheb Ambedkar does not belong to any one caste or religion; he belongs to the entire nation, and his birth anniversary is celebrated across India. He stated that this comment was made solely to incite the people of Punjab.

He added that only the Aam Aadmi Party has given due respect to Babasaheb. After the formation of the AAP government, pictures of Babasaheb Ambedkar and Shaheed Bhagat Singh were placed in all government offices in Punjab. Our government is committed to fulfilling their dreams.

He warned the people that individuals like Gurpatwant Pannun are enemies of society and are loyal to no one. Therefore, his words should not be taken seriously. He challenged Pannun, saying, "If you have the courage, come to Punjab and say these things."

Dr. Balbir stated that all of Punjab is now aware of such people, and the citizens of Punjab themselves will respond to them. Meanwhile, the Punjab Police and the Punjab government are continuously taking action against criminals and gangsters. "We will not allow Punjab's environment to deteriorate at any cost," he declared.

MLA Gurdev Singh Dev Mann also strongly condemned the offensive remarks made by Gurpatwant Pannun against Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, calling it a conspiracy to disrupt Punjab's harmony.Dev Mann said that Punjab’s communal harmony is very strong and unbreakable.

He said that Gurpatwant Pannun has no knowledge of Sikhism, as our Gurus taught equality and preached welfare for all. That is why Punjab has the highest Dalit population ratio in the country. He further stated that such statements do not intimidate us.

"On the 14th, we will celebrate Babasaheb's birth anniversary with grandeur, protect his statues across Punjab, and if anyone tries to commit any misdeeds, they will face befitting consequences," he asserted.
