Former Minister and senior Congress leader Balbir Singh Sidhu launched a scathing attack on the AAP government, exposing its failures and betrayal of the people of Punjab, especially in Mohali. Balbir Singh Sidhu was addressing a workers' meeting in Village Bakarpur of Mohali when he expressed these sentiments.

Sidhu highlighted that in the last three years, the AAP government has not allocated a single new rupee for Mohali nor initiated any new projects in the city. Instead, they have failed to even complete crucial projects started during the Congress tenure. What is even more shocking is that instead of providing grants for development, the AAP government has withdrawn funds allocated by the Congress government during 2017-22.

This is the first time in history that an elected government is taking back grants instead of giving them. Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann had boasted of generating massive revenue for Punjab through sand mining and other sources, yet they have completely failed to curb illegal mining.

The much-hyped promise of providing MSP on 22 crops remains unfulfilled. Rather than supporting farmers, the government has backstabbed them—subjecting them to lathicharge, stealing their trolleys, and looting their valuables. Employees, too, who were demanding permanent jobs, were met with water cannons and police brutality instead of justice.

Sidhu accused the AAP government of destroying the state, saying that Mohali, once recognized as one of Punjab’s best cities, has been reduced to ruins. Roads are in deplorable condition, and the people have been fed nothing but false promises and deception.

Even in the Vidhan Sabha, the AAP government suppresses the voice of the opposition to hide its glaring failures. The recently announced budget has nothing for the people of Mohali or the common citizens of Punjab.

Recalling his tenure as a minister, Sidhu stated that he had worked tirelessly to bring development to Mohali—building numerous new schools, health centers, and special hospitals. However, the current MLA has done absolutely nothing for the constituency.

Instead, the AAP government has taken a massive loan of ₹1.25 lakh crore, while failing to deliver any meaningful development projects. Sidhu also criticized the so-called ‘health model’ promoted by the AAP government, calling it a sham.

The reality is grim—Ayushman Bharat cards do not function because the government has failed to clear pending dues of hospitals. Essential medicines are unavailable in government hospitals, exposing the hollowness of their claims.

Talking about Manmohan Singh, Sidhu said, the whole country still remembers him as he worked for the common man and was the best Prime Minister. But under the BJP and Modi regime, the country has been destroyed—mehngai is through the roof, petrol and diesel prices are skyrocketing, while the rupee's value continues to decline every day.

Talking about Punjab, he further said that all the failed leaders of Delhi, including Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia, who lost elections in Delhi, are now sitting in Punjab and ruling over us while Bhagwant Mann remains just a dummy CM. A significant portion of Punjab Police force has been assigned to these rejected Delhi politicians instead of serving the people of Punjab.

Sidhu assured the people that he has always worked for Mohali and will continue to do so, standing firmly with the people and fighting against the failures of the AAP government.
