Rayat Bahra University marked National Science Day 2025 with great enthusiasm, celebrating the theme "Empowering Indian Youth for Global Leadership in Science & Innovation for Viksit Bharat." 

The event was organized by the University School of Sciences (USS) in collaboration with the Punjab State Council for Science and Technology, DST, New Delhi, aiming to ignite scientific curiosity and innovation among students.

The celebrations featured a series of inter-college competitions, including a working model exhibition, poster presentation, and science quiz, drawing participation from young science enthusiasts. 

Renowned expert Dr. Jaswinder Singh captivated the audience with live physics experiments, providing hands-on learning experiences. Prof. (Dr.) S. K. Bansal, Dean of Academic Affairs, and Prof. (Dr.) M. S. Mehta, HOD, Physics, emphasized the significance of experiential learning in fostering scientific temper.

The following were winners of different competitions:

Poster Presentation: 1st – Shabnampreet Kaur (B.Sc. Astronomy & Astrophysics)

Science Quiz: 1st – Rishi Kumar & Vishvjit Singh (B.Sc. Astronomy & Astrophysics)

Working Model: 1st – Sumedha Bali & Team (B.Tech., CGC Landran)

Chancellor Gurvinder Singh Bahra said the event reinforced Rayat Bahra University’s commitment to promoting STEM education and inspiring young minds in science and technology.
