Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann's Government, today, gave a big binanza to the residents of Kane Ka Bara and Tanda-Tandi, villages situated nearby Shivalik Hills by approving and starting construction of five high level bridges on the Patiala Ki Rao river on completion of three year's tenure.

MLA Anmol Gagan Mann while kicking off this project costing Rs 11.22 crore said that these five high level bridges will be completed in a record time of 10 months and dedicated to the people of the area. She said that today for the first time after independence, the people of this area have the hope of fulfilling their big and long-standing demand, for which the initiative taken by Punjab Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann is commendable.

She said that when she sought votes in this area during her election campaign, the only demand of the people at that time was that these five bridges must be built on Patiala ki Rao river on the Naya Gaon to Kane Ka Bara and Tanda-Tandi road to remove the backwardness of this area.

She said that during the rainy season, when the flow of water in the Patiala Ki Rao river increases, this area used to be cut off from the rest of the district, but now with the construction of the bridge, people will never face such a problem. These five bridges are being constructed at different places in the course of the river of one and a half kilometers.

MLA Anmol Gagan Mann said that a mobile tower has also been approved since last year to strengthen mobile services in this area, but due to the delay in making available the required space for the tower by the panchayat, this tower will now also be installed soon. She said that this will also give strength to the communication services in this area.

On the completion of three years of the Punjab government led by S. Bhagwant Singh Maan today, the MLA said that the difference between the three-year tenure of the incumbent government and the 70-year tenure of the previous governments is clear.

During this short tenure, focus was laid on schemes related to the welfare of the people. Apart from the facilities of Aam Aadmi Clinics, Schools of Eminence, zero electricity bill up to 600 units, a large number of such historical decisions have been taken, which were mandatory in the interest of Punjab and the people of Punjab.

She said that the outcome of the 'Yudh Nashya Virudh' campaign have started coming very positively. This is the proof of the government's commitment to eradicate drugs from the sacred soil of Punjab. She said that the government is strictly taking action against the drug traffickers and is making arrangements for the rehabilitation of the innocent youths who fell prey to the menace of drugs, by taking them out of this dark life.

The MLA gave a strong message to the false propaganda of the opposition parties and said that it was a big challenge for the government to transform Punjab to Rangla Punjab again, which is being met by the government by taking pro-people decisions and generating sources of income.

She said that the work of the opposition parties is to criticize the government, but it would be good if this criticism is done in a meaningful way and not all time negative and the pro-people and pro-state works done by the government are appreciated. She said that the Punjab Government led by S. Bhagwant Singh Maan is committed to fulfill every promise made to the people during the elections.

SDM Gurmandar Singh, Executive Engineer Public Works Department S S Bhullar, Advocate Shahbaz Singh Sohi, AAP leader Satnam Singh, Davinder Singh Laddi and Sarpanches-Panches of the area and other dignitaries were also present on this occasion.
