The University School of Allied Health Sciences (USAHS) of Rayat Bahra University organised an Organ Donation Awareness camp in collaboration with Regional Organ and Tissue Transplant Organisation (ROTTO North).

This event was aimed to promote organ donation and emphasise its role in saving precious lives. Distinguished speaker Saryu D Madra highlighted the critical need for organ donors and the immense difference their contributions can make.

He emphasised that a single organ donor could save up to eight lives and improve the quality of life for many others. The awareness camp was part of the “Angadaan Mahadaan” initiative of the Union Government.

Specifically under the aegis of the National Organ and Tissue Transplant Organisation (NOTTO), which functions under Ministry of Health and Family Welfare focusing on educating participants about the importance of organ donation.

Experts shared real-life success stories, detailed the donation process, and clarified misconceptions associated with it. Dr. Pankaj Kaul, Dean of USAHS at RBU, felicitated Saryu in recognition of her contributions.

The event concluded with an interactive session, where attendees and Chairman of Rayat Bahra University Gurvinder Singh Bahra were encouraged to support the cause by spreading awareness within their communities.

Pervinder Kaur and Sakshi Jaswal, faculty of Allied Health Science, collaborated with their students to create an impactful rangoli.
