To speed up the lifting operations post rain in District Mandis, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development) Mrs. Sonam Chaudhary along with SP (Traffic) H S Mann visited the Bhago Majra and Kharar Mandis, today, afternoon. She directed the procurement agencies to accelerate the lifting operations to avoid space crunch in grain markets.
She said that the Bhagomajra Mandi where the lifting was slow, has been paced up. Similarly, at Kharar Mandi, the issues related to lifting and space, have been sorted out and the commission agents will have to face no problems henceforth. Additional Deputy Commissioner said that so far, the district Mandis has recorded an arrival of 57823 MT, out of which, 57284 MT has been procured.
She said that lifting operations were hampered due to rain and the efforts have been made to resume the lifting to ensure the filling of dry grain in bags. By now, 17400 MT of grain has been lifted from the district mandis, she added.
Payment worth Rs 111.05 Crore has been made to the farmers which contributes to 121 per cent as compared to 48 hours condition of making payment. She said that as per the directions of Deputy Commissioner Mrs Aashika Jain, the district administration is committed to a smooth and uninterrupted Rabi Marketing Season and the farmers would not face any problems.

ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੰਡੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਰਸਾਤ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਹੋਏ ਲਿਫਟਿੰਗ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੇਜ਼ੀ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਲਈ ਵਧੀਕ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ (ਪੇਂਡੂ ਵਿਕਾਸ) ਸ੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਸੋਨਮ ਚੌਧਰੀ ਨੇ ਐਸ ਪੀ (ਟਰੈਫਿਕ) ਐਚ ਐਸ ਮਾਨ ਨਾਲ ਅੱਜ ਬਾਅਦ ਦੁਪਹਿਰ ਭਾਗੋ ਮਾਜਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਖਰੜ ਮੰਡੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਦੌਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਖਰੀਦ ਏਜੰਸੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਦਾਇਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਅਨਾਜ ਮੰਡੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਥਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਮੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਣ ਲਈ ਲਿਫਟਿੰਗ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੇਜ਼ੀ ਲਿਆਉਣ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਭਾਗੋਮਾਜਰਾ ਮੰਡੀ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਲਿਫਟਿੰਗ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਢਿੱਲਾ ਸੀ, ਨੂੰ ਤੇਜ਼ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਖਰੜ ਮੰਡੀ ਵਿਖੇ ਲਿਫਟਿੰਗ ਅਤੇ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਮਸਲਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਨਿਪਟਾਰਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਏਜੰਟਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਣ ਤੋਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੀ ਦਿੱਕਤ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਾ ਪਵੇਗਾ। ਵਧੀਕ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੰਡੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ 57823 ਮੀਟਰਿਕ ਟਨ ਦੀ ਆਮਦ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ 57284 ਮੀਟਰਿਕ ਟਨ ਦੀ ਖਰੀਦ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਹੈ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਬਰਸਾਤ ਕਾਰਨ ਲਿਫਟਿੰਗ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੁਕਾਵਟ ਆਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਲਿਫਟਿੰਗ ਮੁੜ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਯਤਨ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਬੋਰੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁੱਕਾ ਅਨਾਜ ਭਰਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੰਡੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ 17400 ਮੀਟਰਿਕ ਟਨ ਅਨਾਜ ਦੀ ਲਿਫਟਿੰਗ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਹੈ।
ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ 111.05 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀ ਅਦਾਇਗੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਭੁਗਤਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ 48 ਘੰਟਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਤ ਦੇ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ 121 ਫੀਸਦੀ ਬਣਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਸ੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਆਸ਼ਿਕਾ ਜੈਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਹਦਾਇਤਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਕਣਕ ਦੇ ਮੰਡੀਕਰਨ ਸੀਜ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਰਵਿਘਨ ਨੇਪਰੇ ਚਾੜ੍ਹਨ ਲਈ ਵਚਨਬੱਧ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੀ ਦਿੱਕਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਣ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।
