Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development) Mrs Sonam Chaudhary, today, handed over laptops and desktop computers to the schools adopted by the Mindspark EI for increasing the learning level of the students of class 1 to 8, of 34 government schools in the district SAS Nagar.
Applauding the worth emulating efforts of the Mindspark EI; an AI-enabled Personalised Adaptive Learning (PAL) platform designed by Educational Initiative which focuses on teaching at right level (TaRL), she asked the heads of the schools for proper utilisation of the infra and resources being provided to them.
The ADC further said that the program started with 21 schools initially, has been expanded to 34 schools of the District. She said that the schools with minimum five computers were chosen under the project where the students have been provided with an individual log in to access the e-content available digitally.
She expressed hope that the project would be proved beneficial for the students to plug gaps if any between the learning and teaching. Mindspark State head Ms Priya Singh added that the programme is being successfully run in the Patiala and Moga districts too.
Aiming at reducing the learning gaps among students she said that a recent study has established that regular usage of Mindspark can lead to 5X gains in learning improvements within a span of a year. She said that each student would be equipped digitally to raise the level of his/her learning by providing tabs/laptops/desktops and headphones.
Deputy District Education Officers, Secondary and Elementary, Angrej Singh and Parminder Kaur while sharing the experiences of the Mindspark program said that the programme definitely inculcate sense of confidence among the students by strengthening thier knowledge digitally.
The school heads/representatives of schools who were given laptops and desktops included GPS PAROL, GPS MANAKPUR SARIF, GPS MACHHALI KALAN, GPS KARORAN KHURD, GPS MUBARAKPUR CAMP, GPS MAULI BAIDWAN, GPS CHOLTA KHURAD, GPS CHHAT, GMS PHASE 9, GMS PHASE 7, GMS PHASE 10, GMS DHARAMGARH, GHS SANETA and GPS KAMBALA.
