MLA Kulwant Singh Sidhu today said that Sarkar Tuhade Dwar initiative is scripting new success story in providing citizen  services to people near their homes. Accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Surabhi Malik, he said this while interacting with the media during a revenue camp held here at Gill Road in Ludhiana West Sub Division.

They said that during the camp Patwaris, Kannongos, CROs from across the west sub division provided revenue department related services to the people. Taking round of the camp, MLA and the DC also interacted with the applicants and directed the officials to ensure prompt disposal of complaints of people. Giving more details, the Deputy Commissioner said that during the camp over 3200 pending mutation cases have been decided on-the-spot while 22 cases of Farad Badar and 56 fresh applications were decided during the camp.

She further mentioned that during the camp a total of 1160 pending mutations were decided by the Patwaris while 1230 mutations were finalized by the kanoongos. Likewise, Circle Revenue Officers today decided about 872 mutation cases during the camp, she said adding that nearly 56 fresh applications were received with respect to various services including income certificate, residence certificate, demarcation, valuation of land etc.

The DC said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann led state government has launched this unique initiative namely Sarkar Tuhade Dwar under which special Suvidha Camps are held at different locations with an objective to reach out masses to percolate the benefit of government's services and schemes. She further mentioned that the Punjab Government has appointed new Patwaris who will soon join their postings as it would ease out working Patwaris from the burden of additional charges. 

She mentioned that these Patwaris have completed their training and the district would soon get the over 100 patwaris. She said that this move would pave a way to further streamline the working of the revenue department by meeting the long-pending shortage of Patwaris. The DC said that more camps would be held across the district under Sarkar Tuhade Dwar campaign so as to provide benefits of government services at doorsteps. Every month suvidha camps would be held across sub divisions simultaneously.

She said that the district administration is fully committed to providing citizen services in a smooth, hassle-free and transparent manner and more camps would be held across the district so as to provide benefit of these services to maximum people. Lauding the efforts of Ludhiana West SDM Dr. Harjinder Singh Bedi, IAS for organizing this revenue camp, the Deputy Commissioner stated that Earlier camp at Hambran Road was also proved to be successful, now this camp has recieved overwhelming response from the people.
