In order to check the arrangements regarding sale of firecrackers at Kurali, Sub Divisional Magistrate Kharar Ravinder Singh visited the Morinda Road and checked the shops and warned of strict action, in case orders of District Magistrate found violated regarding sale of firecrackers.
Divulging details, SDM Ravinder Singh said that as per the directions of District Magistrate, Mrs Aashika Jain, to keep all the safety arrangements in place in wake of festivity season particularly shops related to firecrackers, an inspection visit was made to the firecracker shops situated on Morinda road with local MC Executive Officer and Station House Officer, Kurali City.
During the inspection fire extinguishers and other fire safety arrangements were minutely checked besides validity of licenses issued by the District Magistrate and the stock with them. It was also ensured that all the firecrackers in stock fall in the green category.
Further, the shopkeepers were instructed not to display the goods on the road. He also ordered shutting down two shops operating without licenses.He strictly warned the shopkeepers of the action as per law, in case of found selling crackers without valid licenses. It was made clear that the retail stalls only be allowed as per the allotment after draw to be scheduled at district level.
