Punjab Tourism, Cultural Affairs, Labour, Investment Promotion and Hospitality Departments' Minister, Anmol Gagan Mann said while participating in wrestling Mela in Khizrabad, today, that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann led Punjab government is committed to preserve the rich heritage and culture of the state. She was accompanied by Chief Spokesperson of AAP, Malwinder Singh Kang.

She said that Punjab's wrestling Melas (Chhinjs) are carrying forward the rich legacy of our ancient Mall Akharas and we are happy that the passion of the people of Punjab to preserve their ancient heritage and culture is going on from generation to generation.

The Tourism and Cultural Affairs Minister said that the first Punjab Tourism  and Travel Mart organized by the Punjab government recently to take the culture and heritage of the state forward, was the result of this thought that we should share our rich culture with the people of the country and the world who are still now familiar with it. 

She said that in order to explore and promote the tourism potential of Punjab, where fairs/festivals are being held in keeping alive the heritage and history of each district as the main focus, the tourist places related to the adventures and water tourism would also be specifically developed in Punjab. 

Anmol Gagan Maan said that with the aim of promoting the spirit of sportsmanship among the youth and school students of the state and preparing them to play for the state and the country at the National and International level, the Punjab government has organized 'Khedan Watan' for the second consecutive year in the state. 

In which players from the age group of 14 years to over 65 years have been getting an opportunity to participate in block, district and state level competitions.She said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's dream of 'Rangla Punjab' is to make the people of the state feel so comfortable so that every resident of Punjab remains healthy, happy and prosperous. 

She appealed to the people to give strength to the intentions and objectives of the government by extending their support in the ongoing efforts of the Punjab government to get Punjab back its lost sheen.

She assured that as the exorbitant hopes and expectations of people have formed the Government of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann so the government is also committed to fulfill those dreams with honesty and sincerity.

On this occasion, she also distributed prizes to the winners who won the main wrestling competition on behalf of the Committee and praised the organizing committee for keeping the rich heritage and culture of Punjab alive through these types of competitions. 

The Cabinet Minister assured to start the work of the link road connecting Khizrabad, Thana Gobindgarh, Salempur Kalan, Bandh Majra soon and to complete the ongoing work of Khizrabad to Miyanpur Changar road.

Besides SDM Kharar Ravinder Singh, DSP Dharamveer Singh, Organising Committee President Satnam Kang Satta and Sarpanch Gurinder Singh were also present. A large number of renowned wrestlers participated in this competition.
