While presiding over 106th meeting of the Board of Directors of Himachal Pradesh State Electronics Development Corporation (HPSEDC) on Wednesday evening, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu emphasized upon promoting Greenfield and Emerging technologies for transparency and effective governance, besides directed the department to encourage the latest Information Technology (IT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) based projects. 

He said that HPSEDC has achieved a significant milestone drastically improving its financial graph by recording a net profit of Rs. 8.16 crores and a total turnover (revenue) exceeding Rs. 200 crores during the fiscal year 2022-23. This is a substantial achievement in the history of the corporation and indicates growth and success in their business activities, said the Chief Minister adding that this profit was an indicator of the corporation's good financial health and profitability.

The Chief Minister expressed happiness that the functioning of the Corporation has been completely automated and all the process related to the department and its customers have been made completely online.He appreciated that it was also for the first time that HPSEDC has paid dividends to the government. For the FY 2021-22, a dividend of Rs. 5 per share, totalling Rs. 18,58,350, was paid to the government. In FY 2022-23, a higher dividend of Rs. 20 per share, amounting to Rs. 74,33,400, was also handed over to the Chief Minister.

The BoD also presented a cheque of Rs. 21 Lakh towards the Aapda Rahat Kosh thus supporting the disaster relief efforts and community welfare initiatives.Managing Director, HPSEDC, Mukesh Repaswal conducted the proceedings. Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Ashish Butail, Chief Secretary,  Prabodh Saxena, Principal Secretary Finance, Manish Garg, Secretary Digital Technology and Governance, (DDTG), Dr Abhishek Jain, Director Industries, Rakesh Kumar Prajapati, CGM, BSNL Jaswinder Singh Sahota, OSD to Chief Minister, Gopal Sharma were also present in the meeting amongst others.
