Former Home Minister of Haryana Anil Vij said, “The Bharatiya Janata Party will register victories on all 10 seats in Haryana because it's not just a wave of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi in these elections, it's a tsunami.” Besides, he sarcastically commented on Congress, saying, “Congress has taken almost a month to decide on candidates' names/tickets for the Lok Sabha elections in Haryana, and their struggle continued.
Now the tickets have come out of the rooms, and their fight has also moved out of the rooms.” Sh. Vij answered questions asked by the media persons here at the Haryana Bhawan in New Delhi regarding the cutting of tickets of veteran leaders of Congress. He said, “The internal fight of Congress, which was happening inside, will continue outside until the elections.”
He said, “We hear Congress leaders are setting up their camps in various places, and it's heard that Kiran Chaudhary is also holding meetings.” Vij said, “Birender Singh Ji had full respect in the Bharatiya Janata Party, but he may have gone to Congress for his personal reasons for the ticket, but he did not get the ticket either and is also holding meetings somewhere.” Sh. Vij, while mocking Congress, said, “This fight of theirs, which was happening inside, will continue outside until the elections.”

In response to questions about Birender Singh's return to BJP, he said, “I'm not in that position, but the doers (Karta-Dharta) of the party know why Birender Singh Ji left and whether he should come back or not.”

Responding to questions about Shruti Chaudhary's ticket being cut, he said, “The high command of Congress must have definitely considered many things. Those who speak less in favor sometimes become less, and those who speak more in opposition become more.”
When asked about Congress President Uday Bhan's statement that Brijender Singh would be adjusted in the upcoming assembly elections after not getting a Lok Sabha seat, Vij sarcastically said, “That's it, they keep dangling, what will they do, what they won't do - today they do something and tomorrow they do something else, meaning they keep running the parties like this.”

In response to questions about Divyanshu Buddhiraja being fielded against rejected Chief Minister Manohar Lal in Karnal by the Congress party to defeat the rejected Chief Minister, Vij jokingly said, “They have put a jackal in front of a lion. This man is weak, on the first day itself, it has been found out that he has been PO.”

Responding to questions about Divyanshu Buddhiraja rejecting Chief Minister Manohar Lal, he said, “The opposition parties always talk like this, but even Manohar Lal has a lot to say in favor of his, and he will say, and we have full confidence that the people will make Manohar Lal victorious.”

In response to questions about Congress candidates in Haryana challenging BJP candidates, Vij said, “The Bharatiya Janata Party will win on all 10 seats in Haryana. हरियाणा के पूर्व गृह मंत्री अनिल विज ने कहा कि ‘‘हरियाणा में 10 की 10 सीटों पर भारतीय जनता पार्टी विजय दर्ज करेगी क्योंकि इन चुनावों में प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी की लहर नहीं, सुनामी चल रही है’’। इसके अलावा, उन्होंने कांग्रेस पर तंज कसते हुए कहा कि ‘‘कांग्रेस ने हरियाणा में लोकसभा चुनाव के लिए उम्मीदवारों के नाम/टिकटों का फैसला करने में लगभग पूरा एक महीना लगा दिया है और दब कर इनकी लड़ाई होती रही है। अब टिकटें कमरे से बाहर आ गई है और इनकी लड़ाई भी कमरें से बाहर आ गई हैं’’।
श्री विज आज यहां नई दिल्ली के हरियाणा भवन में पत्रकारों द्वारा कांग्रेस के दिग्गज नेताओं की टिकट कटने के संबंध में पूछे गए सवाल का जवाब दे रहे थे।

उन्होंने कहा कि ‘कांग्रेस के नेताओं द्वारा जगह जगह पर मोर्चा लगाने की बात सुन रहे है और सुना है किरण चौधरी भी मीटिंग कर रही है’। श्री विज ने कहा कि ‘बीरेन्द्र सिंह जी का भारतीय जनता पार्टी में पूरा सम्मान था लेकिन वो अपने निजी कारणों से टिकट के लिए ही शायद कांग्रेस में गए थे, परंतु उनको भी टिकट नहीं मिली है और वह भी कहीं पर मीटिंग कर रहे हैं’। विज ने कांग्रेस पर कटाक्ष करते हुए कहा कि ‘‘ये इनकी जंग जो अंदर होती रही वह अब चुनाव तक बाहर होती रहेगी’’।

बीरेन्द्र सिंह के भाजपा में वापसी को लेकर पूछे गए सवाल के जवाब में उन्होंने कहा कि ‘‘मैं तो इस स्थिति में नहीं हूं लेकिन पार्टी के जो कर्ता-धर्ता हैं, वहीं जानते हैं कि बीरेन्द्र सिंह जी छोड़कर क्यों गए थे और उनको आना चाहिए या नहीं आना चाहिए’’।
कई बार हक में कम और विरोध में कहने वाले ज्यादा होते हैं - विज
श्रुति चौधरी की टिकट कटने के संबंध में पूछे गए सवाल के जवाब में उन्होंने कहा कि ‘‘कांग्रेस की हाईकमान ने कई चीजों को यकीनी तौर पर देखा होगा। कई बार हक में कहने वाले कम हो जाते हैं और विरोध में कहने वाले ज्यादा हो जाते हैं’’।
बृजेन्द्र सिंह को लोकसभा सीट न मिलने के बाद कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष उदय भान के ब्यान कि आगामी विधानसभा चुनाव में उन्हें एडजस्ट किया जाएगा, के बारे में पूछे जाने पर विज ने कटाक्ष करते हुए कहा कि ‘‘ऐसा है, कि टुकडा डालकर ही रखते हैं, क्या करेंगे, क्या नहीं करेंगे- आज क्या कर दिया और कल क्या करेंगे अर्थात कोई न कोई लालच देकर ही रखेंगें और ऐसे ही पार्टियां चलाते हैं’’।

कांग्रेस पार्टी द्वारा करनाल में रिजेक्टेड मुख्यमंत्री मनोहर लाल के समक्ष दिव्यांशु बुद्धिराजा को चुनाव मैदान में उतार कर रिजेक्टेड मुख्यमंत्री को हराने के संबंध में पूछे गए सवाल के जवाब में श्री विज ने हंसते हुए तंज कसा और कहा कि ‘‘ये तो कांग्रेस ने शेर के आगे गीदड डाल दिया। बेचारा कमजोर आदमी है, पहले ही दिन उसका पता चला है कि वो पीओ हो रखा है’’।
‘‘मनोहर लाल के पास भी अपने पक्ष में कहने के लिए बहुत कुछ है’’- विज
दिव्यांशु बुद्धिराजा ने मनोहर लाल को रिजेक्टेड मुख्यमंत्री करार देते हुए कहा है कि उनकी पार्टी ने मनोहर लाल को ही नकार दिया है इसलिए जनता भी मनोहर लाल को नकार देगी, के संबंध में पूछे गए सवाल के जवाब में विज ने कहा कि ‘‘विपक्षी पार्टियां इस प्रकार की बातें करा ही करती हैं लेकिन मनोहर लाल के पास भी अपने पक्ष में कहने के लिए बहुत कुछ हैं और वो कहेंगें तथा हमें पूरा विश्वास है कि जनता मनोहर लाल को विजयी बनाएगी’’।

हरियाणा में कांग्रेस के उम्मीदवारों द्वारा भाजपा के उम्मीदवारों को टक्कर दिए जाने के बारे में पूछे गए सवाल के जवाब में श्री विज ने कहा कि हरियाणा में 10 की 10 सीटों पर भारतीय जनता पार्टी विजय दर्ज करेगी। उन्होंने कहा कि इन चुनावों में प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी की लहर नहीं, सुनामी चल रही है क्योंकि लोग मोदी जी को चाहते हैं।
उन्होंने कहा कि लोगों ने बाकी सारी पार्टियों की कारगुजारियां देख ली है। कांग्रेस का भ्रष्टाचार भी देख लिया। इसके अलावा, देश-प्रदेश में आने वाली दूसरी पार्टियों की कारगुजारियां भी देख ली और प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी का काम करने का तरीका भी देख लिया। लोग मोदी जी को पसंद करते हैं इसलिए मोदी जी ही विजय होंगें।
