Tarn Taran , 31 Aug 2023

Coming down heavily on the AAP government, Ravinder Singh Brahmpura, said that this is the government of dramatists, non serious people and we did not expect any compensation from it. Chairman of Punjab Rural Development Society, and former MLA, Ravinder Singh Brahmpura, visited Chohla Sahib village in Tarn Taran and during his constituency tour, to ascertain the plight of our farmers due to floods.

He was speaking in the context of the people devasted by floods. He said that earlier the Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann would say that when AAP government came to power, it would immediately release per acre compensation for any crop loss at the tune of Rs 20000, but Girdawari would be conducted later on. But his government has come down to Rs 6800 per acre for the loss of crops.

Even that amount is still to come and no Girdawari has been conducted so far. Criticizing Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann without naming him, Brahmpura alleged that when the state is ravaged by the floods, he is out to some poll bound states to facilitate the tour of AAP supremo in the Punjab government's chopper.

Now people remember the SAD governments when they used to get immediate help from the government. Speaking the dismissal of the panchayats in the state, he accused the state government playing cheap polilitics by dismissing duly elected civic bodies even about 5 months before.

During the resumed hearing on a Public Interest Litigation (PIL), the Hon'ble Punjab and Haryana High Court has lashed out at the Punjab government, it is a victory for the common man. But the Aam Aadmi Party activities are giving crystal clear sign of vindictiveness " The Akali workers are there and they are enthused and ready to contest panchayat elections.

We shall contest the panchayat elections and win those as well. Now the people of the state have realised that they have voted to the wrong party in power, & quot;said Brahmpura while touring the villages of his constituency.

On this occasion, Satinam Singh Chohla Sahib, Dilbagh Singh Kahlwan, Balbir Singh and OSD Damanjit Singh and others were also present.
