Chief Horticulture Officer (CHO) Budgam, Dr. M Iqbal Baba along with his team today visited Kalshipora in Horticulture Zone Kremshore where he presided over an awareness cum grievance redressal camp organized by the Department of Horticulture.The camp aimed to create awareness about different schemes and management of diseases/pests, especially “Apple Leaf Blotch Miner” in Apple Orchards, in case  the pest spreads in the area. 

The CHO stressed upon participating farmers to follow the Advisories issued by the Department of Horticulture in letter and spirit so that the infestation of the pests is managed in orchards. He also advised the field functionaries of the Department to remain alert and keep monitoring about the emergence of “Apple Leaf Blotch Miner”. 

The farmers were also made aware of the Schemes of the Department besides were provided on spot awareness regarding online submission of Application Forms to avail different Schemes of the Department.Later, he listened the grievances of the farmers who were present and were resolved on the spot. He assured all farmers that the Department will leave no stone unturned to solve their issues.
