Punjab Tourism Minister Anmol Gagan Mann arrived as the chief guest on the second day of the 83rd Apollo Tires Rural Sports Festival at Kila Raipur, a symbol of Punjab's rich sports heritage. Kila Raipur Sports Society (Patti Suhavia) President Colonel Surinder Singh Grewal, General Secretary Gurwinder Singh Grewal, Sarpanch Gyan Singh, Gurinder Singh Grewal, Baljit Singh, Davinder Singh Poonia and the team are conducting the entire arrangements smoothly. 

The NRI’s, village panchayat and dignitaries of the area are getting full support. Horse riding show, tug-of-war, trolley back and trolley filling and emptying (loading-up loading), hockey and athletics competitions were the center of attraction today.

Chief Guest Cabinet Minister Anmol Gagan Mann said in his address that the main objective of the Punjab government is to make the state colorful again, for which they are promoting sports in particular. 

She said that the Fort Raipur Games are a symbol of the rich sports heritage of Punjab, for which the Punjab government is giving full support and will continue to give. She said that from the next year, the tourism department will contribute fully to the promotion of Kila Raipur sports. 

Cabinet Minister Mann also assured to fulfill the demands of the organizers of the Fort Raipur Games to install astroturf, install flood lights and set up a multi-purpose gym. She said that such games should be held in every corner of Punjab so that the rich heritage of Punjab can be maintained and the future generations will continue to be fascinated by sports. 

She blessed the hockey teams and distributed prizes to the winning athletes. Stage management was done by Dr. Sukhdarshan Singh Chahal, Satpal Khadial and Gurwinder Singh Grewal..

Sports Results:- Surinderpal Sharma Hoshiarpur first, Sarabjit Singh Gurdaspur was second and Raghuvir Bhullar Mohali was third. In the category of cycling boys, Sahil Ludhiana stood first, Harsimranjit Singh Barnala stood second and Ekmpreet Singh Ludhiana stood third. Mukal stood first, Harpreet Kaur stood second and Pooja stood third in the girls category.Vishal Ludhiana stood first, Jaskaran Singh second and Amanpreet Singh third in the high jump boys category. 

Deepti Ludhiana stood first, Lovepreet Kaur stood second and Manali Chauhan stood third in girls' long jump. Jagrup Singh Ropar stood first, Jaskaran Singh Raikot stood second and Amanpreet Singh Ludhiana stood third in boys' long jump competition. Sukhwinder Kaur Patiala won first place, Lovepreet Kaur Ludhiana won second place and Message Patiala won third place in girls' 100 meter race. 

The winning athletes were given cash prizes of 5000 thousand, 3000 thousand and 2000 thousand rupees respectively. Swatch Academy Sonepat defeated Rampur Chhanna 6-0 in hockey girls category. PIS Mohali beat Punjabi University Patiala by 3-0. In the boys category, GTB Baba Bakala defeated Fort Raipur by 2-0 goals.

Heritage Sports:- Kamalpreet Singh Mahal Kalan first, Binder Shahdod second, Jyoti Virak Panjgari third and Mannu Hussainpur forth in Trolly back compition.  In tug-of-war, Burj Dona (Moga) team stood first, Sharinh Shankar (Jalandhar) second and Fort Raipur (Ludhiana) team stood third. 

Gurjit Singh Farali District Malerkotla lifted a sack weighing 2 quintals and forced everyone to take their tongues under their teeth. Naresh Kumar, who came from Samrala, attracted everyone's attention by flying 151 kites together. 

Lakha Singh from Mahal Kalan District Barnala attracted everyone by turning his iron rode with his neck. Rajpal Jartauli lifted a quintal and seven kilos with one finger. Bunty and Babli from Rajasthan drove the train.

Eleven-year-old Ladi (Haryana) applied 50 push ups. Punjab police jawan Amaninder Singh, who came from Patiala, performed on a motorcycle. Sahib Singh Dhogadi broke the iron chains and attracted everyone's attention. Simran got first, Chaman got second and Sukhbir Singh got third place in the tractor tire race organized by Apollo Tyres.
