The 83rd Apollo Tires Rural Sports Festival of Kila Raipur, a village that shines like golden letters in the sports history and culture of Punjab, organized under the leadership of Kila Raipur Sports Society (Patti Suhavia) by expatriate heroes, NRIs village panchayats and dignitaries of the area. Festival dedicated to Lt. Mata Kuldeep Kaur Grewal and Kamaljit Singh Grewal (Kamal). This tournament inaugurated by Jivan Singh Sangowal, MLA from Gill constituency. The host of the festival, Colonel Surinder Singh Grewal, President of Fort Raipur Society, General Secretary Gurwinder Singh Grewal, Gurwinder Singh Grewal, Sarpanch Gyan Singh, Baljit Singh and Davinder Singh Punia and many more welcomed the chief guest.

Chief Guest MLA Jeevan Singh Gill started the hockey match on firstday and inaugurate the games by releasing balloons in the air. On this occasion, he said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, sports activities are being revived to make the state a colorful Punjab again, under which sports competitions are being organized for players of all age groups. He said that Fort Raipur Games are symbol of sports culture of Punjab. All possible help will be provided by the Punjab government to bring more richness to these games. Colonel Surinder Singh said that during these games, competitions in all kinds of sports will be held, including heritage sports, sports associated with the Olympic movement and martial sports of Punjab. During the opening ceremony, the children of Nankana Sahib School presented a welcome song and perform Bhangra. Along with this, the dance of Avon dancing mare also became the center of attraction. The team of Lok Rang MalwaiGidhe presented various folk dances of Punjab. Miri-Piri Gatka Akhara Chaminda (Ludhiana) showcased the essence of Gatka and enlivened the atmosphere. The team of Omini Gel told the people through dances and exercises to stay healthy in normal life. Apollo Tires organized prize competitions related to strength and exercises. In the first hockey match held today, Rampur Hockey Academy defeated the host Fort Raipur team by 2-1 goals.
