Deputy Commissioner Jammu Avny Lavasa, today chaired a meeting to discuss the roll out of Aspirational Panchayat Development Program (APDP). The Deputy Commissioner also discussed the  mechanism for timely collection of data in respect of 100 identified indicators under APDP.

She said that the APDP program is aimed at socio-economic development of panchayats on selected parameters through convergence and additional financial support.

The Deputy Commissioner asked for selection of one panchayat per block for the effective roll out of APDP. The Deputy Commissioner also constituted a committee under the Chairmanship of ADDC for the verification of job card holders under MGNREGA.

She said that concerned BDOs, Panchayat Secretaries, Numberdars and Chowkidars will verify the active/inactive job card holders. The Deputy Commissioner asked the concerned officials from different departments to work in coordination and synergy to provide maximum benefits to the common masses.

ADDC Ramesh Kumar, CPO Yoginder Katoch, ACD Preeti Sharma along with BDOs and senior officers from concerned departments were present in the meeting.
