To epitomize the real purpose and objectives of 'Eat Right School and Eat Right Creativity' in District Doda, the Department of Food Safety DFCO in collaboration with District Administration Doda and School Education Department, today organised a rally in Doda Township.
The rally was flagged off by Dr. Ravi Kumar Bharti - Additional Deputy Commissioner Doda (Adjudicating Officer FSSA Distt. Doda). Dr.Ravi Kumar Bharti was accompanied by Pralad Bhagat Chief Education Officer Doda; Ayaz Mugal, DEPO; Ramesh Babu, Zonal Education Officer; Rubi Naz Principal Govt. Hr. Sec. School (Boys); Imran Tantary Nodal Officer Eat Right School; Mohsin Zonal Nodal Officer and other Staff members of Hr. Sec. School (Boys) and 04 other Schools of the cluster.
Around 100 students of the first ever Cluster having 04 Schools participated in the rally which started from Clock Tower and after passing through the main markets, culminated at Boys Higher Sec. School.
The participants chanted slogans en-route the markets “Awo kum karain thora Tail chini aur Namak"; Eat Right, Eat Healthy, Eat Fortified* Taraq Ahmed Butt, Assistant Commissioner, Food Safety DFCO Doda led the march under the Aegis of FSSAI and on the directions of Commissionerate FDA J&K headed by Shakeel ul Rehman Commissioner.
For maximum coverage of the Schools under the Eat Right India initiatives by adding up the subject matter in School Curriculum, yellow books 1,2, pink Book, Activity Book from Nidhi App were distributed among the Heads of the Schools of these Clusters as a start up.
Meanwhile, other initiatives were also implemented including MDM Registrations under FSSA, Magic Box Demonstrations. Debate and painting competitions were also held during the program in the Schools including Government GMS Nagri Doda, Government City MS Doda, Government MS Sah Mohalla and Government GGMS Doda.
These Schools are at the stage of monitoring, evaluation and Certification on the portal Eat Right School. As on date these Schools are registered on the portal and HWC certificates have been issued to them.
The Department also displayed motivational messages on pole kiosks at different locations added with digital media outreaches, Hoardings, Banners, posters. The vision of Eat Right School and Eat Right Creativity is to prosper the Nation at School level and to keep the children updated on Healthy, fit and sound lifestyle.
