Sohana Cancer Research Institute is open to the general public from today. Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh Shri Akal Takat sahib, Jahedar Ragubir Singh, Shri Keshgarh Sahib and other Singh sahibaan Inaugurated the hospital. While Kultar Singh Sandhwa speaker, of Punjab Vidhan Sabha inaugurated the Pet C T scan medical branch.
Mohali D C Amit Talwar IAS inaugurated the True beam linear Machine Department. Balbir S. Sidhu Ex-Health Minister, Amarjit Singh Sidhu Mayor Mohali, Ajitpal Singh Kohli MLA Patiala, Jeevandeep Singh Kahlon, commissioner of income tax was also present at the occasion.
Trustee Gurmeet Singh informed that Bhai Jasvbir Singh Khanne wale started the service of humanity by building eye hospital. Now another effort is made for human services after making multi-specialty and then super-specialty medical services available to the residents.
Gurmeet Singh informed at the moment that Sohana Cancer Research Institute will be a complete hospital for the treatment of cancer where apart from radiation, surgical and medical oncology facilities will also be available. With the establishment of a cancer institute in Mohali, the hassle of traveling patients of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pardesh, Jammu Kashmir and Rajasthan will be reduced for any type of Cancer treatment.
Dr. Sandeep Kukkar Cancer specialist informed us that we have a highly experienced team of oncologists & surgeons for any kind of Cancer Treatment. He informed that they have Turebeam machines for radiation therapy, OPD for medical, surgical, radiation and preventive oncology.
Bhai Davinder Singh Khanna wale added that the grand Gurmat event is also being held today in memory of Panth Ratan Bhai Jasvir Singh Ji Khalsa Khanne wale at Gurdwara Gurshabd Parkash Akal Ashram Sohana. The religious event related to this event will start at 10 am and will continue till 10.30 pm, in which the famous ragi and dhadis of the path will be participating. He also informed that a large number of famous scholars of Sikh panth from the country and abroad are participating in this religious event.
