Pension is the most relevant form of social security for employees and their family members in times of need and eventualities. EPFO Regional Office, Jammu has initiated the process of settlement of Pension claims from the offices of Jammu and Kashmir itself. 

Pension is being disbursed to pensioners on retirement and in some cases to the widow and family members of even such members.Towards this, the Office has settled total 21 pension claims in Jammu with initial arrear amount Rs. 13,73,986/- in the month of SEPTEMBER, 2022.

Pension claims were settled in r/o Dinesh Sharma – Sonali Sharma (widow), with the monthly pension amount being Rs. 2901/- and Shashwat Sharma (Child) with the monthly pension of Rs. 725/- Pension claim has also been settled in r/o Darshana Devi  with monthly pension amount being Rs. 1635/-. 

Pension claim has also been settled in r/o Sunail Kumar with the monthly pension amount being Rs. 3958 /-.  Another pension claim was settled in r/o Janak Raj – Rita Devi (widow), Ajay Sharma (Son ) and Akshay Sharma (Son) with the monthly pension amount being Rs.2901 /-,Rs. 725/- and Rs. 725/- respectively. 

Pension claim has also been settled in r/o Sonia  Dogra- Vishal Dogra  (Widower), Angel Dogra  (Child), Kumar Digvansh Dogra  (Child) with monthly pension amount being Rs.2346 /-, 587/-and 587/- respectively .

The Office has also processed cases of retirement pension claim in r/o of Shri Om Parkesh with monthly pension being Rs.3834 /-, Shri Balwant Singh with monthly pension being Rs. 4155/-, Shri. Bodh Raj with Rs. 1365/- and others.

Shri Harinder Singh, Regional P.F. Commissioner (Pension) distributed the PPO to the Pensioners who visited Regional Office, Jammu.In this context, it is pertinent to mention that the monthly pension is available to members if they have ten or more years of service under Employees’ Pension Scheme 1995 in one or more establishment(s). 

The eligible members may avail Superannuation Pension by applying online claim through their UAN Login after attainment of 58 years of age. Provision of monthly pension is also available to the family of EPS members in case of unfortunate demise of EPS member. 

The family member(s) may avail monthly pension by applying offline claim through employer of the deceased member.All the Pensioners, who visited EPFO, Jammu expressed their pleasure and appreciated the efforts made to team EPFO, Jammu in disbursing their monthly pension and arrears before close of month –SEPTEMBER, 2022.
