Dogra Swabhiman Sangathan Party Chairman Ch Lal Singh along with his hundreds of supporters led a procession to Maharaja Hari Singh Park at Tawi Bridge Jammu to stand in solidarity with entire Dogra fraternity in demanding a holiday on 23 Sep-The Birthday of Maharaja Hari Singh. 

All parties from Jammu region have come on a common platform led by Ch Lal Singh to reiterate the demand of declaring a holiday on  23 Sep to the Govt of J&K.In order to commemorate the sacrifices of Maharaja Hari Singh, Dogra youth under the banner of The Rajput Kumar Sabha sit on Dharna at Maharaja Hari Singh Park at Tawi Bridge on 23rd of every month to demand a holiday on birthday of Maharaja Hari Singh i.e 23 September. 

This time the members of The Rajput Kumar Sabha are sitting on indefinite strike till the demand is met by the Govt Of UT of J&K. The protesters were lathi charged on the night of 23rd August, jailed and Art 144 was enforced. 

Undaunted spirited Dogra youth are back for peaceful protest for a legitimate demand next to the statue of Maharaja Hari Singh at Tawi Bridge. Ch Lal Singh ,President Dogra Swabhiman Sangathan Party along with his hundreds of supporters was at the venue standing shoulder to shoulder in solidarity with The Rajput Kumar Sabha supporting a great and viable Dogra Swabhiman issue.

Maharaja Hari Singh was a great patriot who sacrificed all his worldly possessions including his CROWN for a just cause to ensure that Jammu & Kashmir State accedes to India in a smooth manner. It was his devotion and love for our motherland INDIA that we have J&K State- a geo strategically important state as an integral part of India. 

He was a just, secular and a man of pluralistic instincts who on his coronation declared that his religion is JUSTICE and all his subjects are equal irrespective of religion, cast, creed or gender.Ch lal Singh in his interview to reporters said this holiday will remind the Dogra Youth of all the sacrifices that the Dogra icons of yesteryears have laid to ensure laurels to the our great nation India in general and Dogra race in particular. 

He further added that this holiday will inspire all Dogra youth to relive the valour, justice and stellar qualities that Dogras displayed as true nationalists of India. He quoted many instances from Maharaja Hari Singh’s life which is a motivation to Dogra race that contributed whole heartedly towards nation building and bring laurels to Dogras and our motherland India. 

He further added that this holiday will also stir the nationalistic feelings even in the minds of majority of Maharaja Hari Singh’s erstwhile subjects in Kashmir, Ladakh and POJK.Ch Lal Singh , President Dogra Swabhiman Sangathan Party was accompanied by large no of loyal party workers and key functionaries of Dogra Swabhiman Party which included Sh K D Singh, Sr Vice President , Sardar Balbir Singh, Prof H R Sharma, Sh Bhupinder Singh Jamwal, Smt Suman Wazir, Adv B S Pathania, Sh Raju Pahalwan, Sh Raghav Khajuria, Adv Pushpinder Singh, Sh Rahul Sharma, Sh Divyanash, Sh Paramveer Singh, Sh Rahul Sharma, Dr Taran Singh, Master Dhiyan Singh and Brig Vijay Sagar.
