The one-week training programme on Big Data Analysis and Research Methods, using Statistical Softwares organized by the Division of Statistics & CS under the aegis of IDP SKUAST Jammu was culminated on 1st August 2022.

The chief guest of the valedictory function Prof J. P. Sharma, Vice-Chancellor SKUAST-Jammu in his address stressed on proper execution of Statistics in collaboration with modern age computing is need of hour, and deliberated the importance of statistics in modern age scientific research.

During the training programme expert lectures on current topics like Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Neural Network Modeling, Cluster Analysis, AMMI models and Data visualization were delivered by eminent experts Prof Rajender Parsad, Prof Parmil, Prof Bilal, Prof Pawnesh Abrol, Dr Imran Khan, Dr Jeevan Jyoti, Dr Vijay Shivgotra, Dr Sunil of various universities across the country apart from the faculties of SKUAST Jammu Prof R K Salgotra, Prof S E H Rizvi, Prof Manish Sharma, Dr Anil Bhat, Dr Bupesh, Dr Divendu, Dr MIJ Bhat, & Dr Sunali.

Convener of the workshop, Prof Manish Sharma, Head of the Division, deliberated about the overview of all the lectures delivered by the experts during the one-week training programme. Besides, the participants of the programme shared their experiences and feedback about the training.

The valedictory function was attended by Dr Sumati Sharma, Former Additional Director DRDO; Prof. R.K.Nanda, Director Education; Prof S.K Gupta Registrar; Prof A. K. Mondal, Dean Agriculture; Prof S. E. H. Rizvi, Dean FBSc; Prof R K.Salgotra, Coordinator School of Biotechnology; Prof R. Peshin Controller examination, Prof Vikas Sharma, Associate Coordinator, IDP, Prof Moni Gupta, Prof, Gurdev and others.The proceedings of the function were conducted by Dr M Iqbal Jeelani and formal vote of thanks was presented by Dr Sunali Mahajan.
