Additional Deputy Commissioner (Law and Order) Jammu Ghan Shyam Singh today convened a meeting of officers of various departments to review the arrangements for  Navratri, Ramnavmi, Charri and Dussehra festival here today at DC Office complex.Threadbare discussions were held on various issues including sanitation, uninterrupted electricity, ensuring of regular and safe drinking water, security arrangements, traffic management, decoration of temples, adequate stocks of ration and fire wood, check on the rates and quality of food ite The ADC emphasized on maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in and around the temples and decoration of important temples and directed the concerned departments to promote the message of sanitation.He asked the Police authorities to provide adequate security arrangements at temples and  called for interdepartmental coordination to put in place all necessary arrangements well in time for the smooth celebration of the festival.

He asked the PHE  and PDD Departments to take all measures to provide uninterrupted water and  Power supply. The PDD was asked to ensure proper lighting arrangements in addition to uninterrupted power supply throughout the festival season.The Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs authorities were asked to keep a check on the rates and quality of food items being sold during the festival. The Health Department was directed to keep sufficient provision for Medicare facilities and medical staff.Enforcement of Covid protection guidelines and SoPs was also stressed  including  wearing of masks and maintaining social distance.Joint Director Information Namrita Dogra; Joint Commissioner JMC Pankaj; Deputy Director Tourism Amar Jyoti Raina; Senior officers from Police, Security Traffic PHE PDD JMC besides representatives of religious organisations were present in the meeting.
