Directorate Of School Education Jammu in collaboration with Directorate of Samagra Shiksha, today, organized a Yoga session at Government Model SRML (Ranbir) Higher Secondary School Jammu as part of a series of events being conducted to celebrate the 7th International Yoga Day 2021, with 92.7 Big FM as the radio partner.The Yoga session was conducted by senior yoga instructor, Bharat Bhushan Gupta from Bhartiya Yog Sansthan, J&K, with Master Abhishek, Sharma and Master Sunil Singh, both National award winners in Yoga and students of Model Higher Secondary School (B) Udhampur, acting as the master demonstrators. The dignitaries and other participants joined the students and performed yog- asanas to mark the occasion.The Director School Education Jammu Dr. Ravi Shankar Sharma and Director Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan J&K Deep Raj enunciated the importance of Yoga in day to day life and highlighted its role in the overall development of mind body and soul.The Chief Education Officer Jammu presented the formal vote of thanks, while Supriya Sharma, Member Cultural Cell, DSEJ was the stage secretary along with radio jockey Rahul from 92.7 Big FM.Amongst other present on the occasion were CEO Udhampur, Arvin Kaul; Assistant State Coordinator SAMAGRA Shiksha; Ravinder Jangral, State Nodal Officer Fit India Movement from SAMAGRA Shiksha; Sunita Fotedar, Nodal Officer Fit India DSEJ; Govind Sharma, Principal SRML; Anjali Gupta, Principal GHSS Rehari; Tahira Parveen Shah and Cluster Head 92.7 Big FM.
