All shops to remain open for 5 days a week from 9.00 am to 2.00 pm

Himachal Pradesh Government has decided that all shops and other establishments would remain open for five hours from 9.00 am to 2.00 pm for five days a week from 31st May, 2021.  This was decided in a high level meeting presided over by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur here today.It was decided that government offices would also function with 30 percent attendance, except stand alone offices with strength of up to 4 employees will remain open with full strength. It was also decided that milk, bread, medicine shops would remain open as usual during Saturday and Sunday as well.It was decided that all the educational institutions in the State would remain closed. Similarly public transport would also remain suspended till further orders. All restrictions and exemptions would continue as per guidelines already issued except following additional directions which will be effective from 6.00 am of 31st May, 2021 to 6.00 am of 7th June, 2021.Chief Minister said that Government of India has made an additional allocation of 1,67,180 doses of covishield for the people of the State between the age group of 18-44 years. He said that similarly on the request of the State Government the Central Government has enhanced the quota for free vaccine supply by 46,630 doses. He said that under the free supply of vaccine to the State for the first fortnight of June, 2021, as many as 2,99,400 doses  of covisheild would be made available.Jal Shakti Minister Mahender Singh Thakur, Urban Development Minister Suresh Bhardwaj, Industries Minister Bikram Singh, Health Minister Rajiv Saizal, MPP and Power Minister Sukh Ram Chaudhary, Chief Secretary Anil Khachi, Director General of  Police Sanjay Kundu, Additional Chief Secretary Revenue R.D. Dhiman, Secretary Education Rajeev Sharma, Secretary Health Amitabh Awasthi, Special Secretary Revenue Sudesh Mokhta and other senior officers also attended the meeting.
