Political Advisor to CM Punjab Capt Sandeep Sandhu and District Planning Board Chairman Malkeet Singh Dakha on Saturday dedicated new platform and shed in Jagraon grain and vegetable market.Accompanied by Market Committee Chairman Satinder Pal Singh Grewal, they said that the platform has been constructed at the cost of Rs 5.82 crore in the grain market while shed in the vegetable market has come up for Rs 1.26 crore.Addressing the gathering, they said that these new structures would benefit farmers, labourers and others as they were facing problem due to the shortage of space.They said that the state government is committed to procuring every single grain in this wheat procurement season started today.They said that directions have been issued to all procurement agencies and others to ensure farmers do not face any kind of problem during the season. On the occasion, Khadi Board Chairman Major Singh Bhaini, vice-chairman Karan Warring, SDM Narinder Singh Dhaliwal, Jatinder Singh Bhangu, Amandeep Singh, Surinder Singh and others were present.
