Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Farooq Khan, reviewed functioning of hostels of Pahari Speaking Board besides taking stock of activities of Social Welfare Department in Migrant Camps at Jagti and Purkhoo here today.Advisor had a detailed review of facilities being provided to the students at hostels of Pahari Speaking Board. He was apprised that there are 9 hostels including 6 Boys hostels and 3 Girls hostels. He was also briefed about the need for repair and renovation of hostel buildings for safety of hostel inmates.While reviewing activities of Social Welfare Department in Migrant Camps especially Anganwadi Centers, Advisor asked the officers to create mass awareness regarding the departmental schemes so that every eligible person is benefited. He directed the officers to conduct regular visits of every Anganwadi Center to monitor the functioning of these vital facilities especially nutrition being provided to the children.Principal Secretary, Social Welfare Department, Bipul Pathak and other senior officers of the department and Pahari Speaking Board were present in the respective meetings.
