In order to review the status of clusters established under the Scheme of Funds for Regeneration of Traditional Industries (SFURTI), a meeting of associated agencies including Nodal Agency (NA), Implementing Agencies (IA), Technical Agency (TA) and Executing Agency (EA) was held under the chairmanship of Dr. Hina Shafi Bhat, Vice Chairperson J&K KVIB here today.The scheme is being implemented by J&K Khadi & Village Industries Board (KVIB) for ten clusters with a total project outlay of Rs. 25 crore.The meeting took a detailed review of the present status of these Clusters in Union Territory of J&K.The meeting was attended by Secretary/CEO, KVIB Rashid Ahmad Qadri; FA&CAO KVIB, Vivek Attri; Deputy CEO, Jammu division while other concerned senior officers of board besides Deputy CEO, Kashmir division, Muzaffar Abdul Nasir participated through video conferencing.Vice Chairperson stressed upon all the stakeholders to work in synchronization and ensure that SFURTI clusters are established at an earliest.During the meeting, it was informed that three beekeeping clusters of Jammu with the project outlay of Rs. 8.95 crore are ready for commissioning. The commissioning of these clusters shall enhance the livelihood of local artisans and help in rejuvenation of traditional trades.
