District Administration Doda is bracing for implementation of flagship girl child welfare scheme Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) in the district.The implementation plan was today discussed here at a meeting of District Level Task Force Committee (DLTFC) chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Kishore Lal Sharma and attended by Committee members viz   Project Officer, ICDS, Assistant Commissioner Development, Additional Superintendent Police, Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Chief Education Officer, besides officials of Childline, Mahila Shakti Kendra and One Stop Centre.The meeting was informed that a series of events have been finalized for the implementation of the scheme, which will be kick started in the district in next few days.Threadbare discussion was held on various important aspects related to the effective implementation of the scheme in the district.The ADC directed the stakeholders to make concerted efforts for the uplift of the girl child in the society as envisioned in the scheme.The valuable suggestions of the members for effective implementation of the scheme were also sought. The ADC assured that all the suggestions will be taken into consideration in the course of the implementation of the program.The ADC listed the events to be organised   with the active participation and coordination of   the departments. He said awareness programs would be held at all levels with the active participation of ULBs and PRI members, which include debates, seminars and painting competitions, felicitation of the newly born girl babies, distribution of awareness kits etc."We have to effectively realize the aims and objectives of the scheme with the active coordination of all the stakeholders so that the desired outputs – the protection of rights, security and dignity of the girl child in the district" the ADC added.
