Doda admin deputes health surveillance team in containment zones

Oxygen Doot with Pulse Oximeter to visit door to door for checkup: DDC

District Administration Doda has deputed health surveillance team in containment zones to check the oxygen levels of the family members in the households twice a day.Addressing media persons here today, District Development Commissioner, Dr Sagar D Doifode   informed about the District Administration's initiative of Oxygen Doot/Oxygen Messenger.The DDC informed that teams have been constituted   for every containment zones and named them as "Oxygen Doot Oxygen /Oxygen Messenger".He said that these Oxygen Doot /Oxygen Messenger will be provided Pulse Oximeter and will go door to door in the containment zones and will check the oxygen levels of the family members in the households twice a day.“If during checking the oxygen level of any individual is found below 90, the person will be immediately shifted to the hospital for oxygen support” he said.

The DDC advised the general public of the district to make use of the pulse oximeter for early detection of the low level of oxygen to prevent fatalities.The DDC also demonstrated the use of the pulse oximeter and said that if the oxygen levels in the body is above 90 the person will be considered as physically fit and if the oxygen levels are recorded below 90,then the person is advised to visit the hospital for immediate oxygen support.Medical Superintendent Associated Hospital GMC Doda Dr Yaqoob Mir was also present at the press conference.Meanwhile, the DDC held an interactive session with designated Oxygen Doot/Oxygen Messenger through online mode. He asked them to   understand their role and responsibility well for effective implementation of initiative at ground level.“You have been appointed for an important task of visiting to the households in the assigned containment zones and check the oxygen levels of every individual twice a day on priority basis,” he told them .District Epidemiologist Umar Anayat Khan and Sohail Raja Coordinator of the program also participated in the online interaction.
