Under the able guidance of Hon’ble Cabinet Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, the Department of Technical Education and Industrial Training, Punjab is committed to provide quality training in all its institutions and also to create employment opportunities for trainees, said Shamsher Singh Purkhalvi, Principal, ITI Mohali and District Nodal Officer while interacting with the local media after inaugurating the Sanitary Pad Vending Machine installed for the convenience of the girls by the Swaraj Mahindra Limited Company.While addressing to the media persons, the Principal of the institute Mr. Shamsher Purkhalvi said that the sanitary pad vending machine installed in the institute to cater to the needs of more than 300 girls studying in ITI would prove to be very useful for the girls as it was their long pending demand. Mr. Purkhalvi further said that as per the direction from Principal Secretary Mr. Anurag Verma IAS, the trainees of the institute, besides their regular training programme, would also be imparted training in making Sanitary Pads in collaboration with Swaraj Engine Ltd. Mohali. He said that fromthe next academic session the institute is going to start 3 new courses to ensure 100 per cent employment for the traineesas well as to train them for the modern times requirement and the details of thesecourses would be issued in the next few days. Among others present on the occasion included Madam Gurpreet Kaur, Gulshan Ahuja of Swaraj Mahindra Company, GI Anil kumar Sani, Instructor Varinderpal Singh Khalsa Rakesh Kumar Dhalla, Mrs. Upasna Attri, Mrs. Jasvi Kaur Saini, Mrs. Amritbir Kaur Hundal.
