Governor Kalraj Mishra has stated that HP Bharat Scout and Guide (HPBSAG) should focus on providing Yoga training to the students for their physical development besides organising various activities to guide girl students for self-defence.The Governor, who is also Chief Patron of the HPBSAG was interacting with the State Chief Commissioner of HPBSAG -cum-Director Higher Education Dr. Amarjeet Sharma and other office bearers and members, who met him at Raj Bhawan today.Kalraj Mishra said the Scout and Guide was an educational movement, which was contributing immensely in intellective, physical and social development of the youth. This was also an important medium to encourage youth for social service, patriotism and becoming a responsible citizen, for which they should be imparted proper training. He also stressed the need to give proper training to the students on disaster management."The children should be provided training of 'keep smiling' in the first phase, 'doing best' in the second stage, 'be-prepared' in the third and service to the humanity in the final stage", the Governor said.Dr. Amarjeet Sharma detailed the Governor about various training programmes and activities being undertaken by the HPBSAG in the state. He said that more than 40 thousand youth were associated with this movement in the state and a training centre had been established within the state at Riwalsar in Mandi district for Scout and Guide training.
