Shiromani Akali Dal (Taksali) president and MP Ranjit Singh Brahmpura on Sunday addressed Public meeting of his party workers in Bhail Dhai Wala, Jamarai, Goindwal sahib, Khadoor Sahib and Kalla village of Khadoor Sahib constituency to ‘kick starting’ his campaign in favour of Bibi Paramjeet Kaur khalra.Brahmpura said that sacrifice made by Jaswant Singh Khalra for the sake of Sikh community raising his voice against the mass cremation of unclaimed dead bodies of Sikh youth has no match in the history. So people of Majha, must listen to the voice of their conscious and cast their vote in her support.“You must take a pledge from here that you would not cast your own or the vote of your family alone to her, but also make many others convince to support Bibi. We have bowed before the sentiments of Sikh sangat (Sikh community) and withdrew our candidate to ensure her win, so you must ensure that truth wins over pride and lies,” Brahmpura appealed the gathering at these palces.Lashing out at the Badal family, Brahmpura said that the Jathedars of five Takhats had punished Dera Saccha Sauda chief, but Badal family secured the rapist a pardon denting the image of five supreme Sikh seats.“They prepared a fake letter allegedly written by Dera chief who is a rapist, and arm twisted the Sikh priests on these high seats to pardon him for political gains. They (Badals)said that we cannot win the elections without the Dera support. He has a lot of wealth and wields a clout in the electorate, so he must be pardoned.
But later on Dera chief said that he had not written any letter seeking any apology bringing more shame to Badals,” said Brahmpura.“Once there was a time in the history when Akal Takhat Sahib summoned Maharaja Ranjit Singh and decided to punish him for his one mistake, but now Badals have dashed the dignity and supremacy of this highest Sikh institution to soil that nobody dares to summon Badal family here for their sins,” Brahmpura lamented.Speaking on the issue of sacrilege,Brahmpura said that it was the rule of Akali government in the state when the holy pages of Sri Guru Granth sahib were torn and thrown in the dust.”But these corrupt people at the helm of the government did nothing to punish the culprits.“Badal family let it happen only for votes, rule and dera support. They rather spared the culprits and got the innocent Sikh protesters killed in police firing in Behbal Kalan village of Faridkot district,” said Brahmpura addressing the mammoth gathering in Goindwal sahib.Brahmpura held SAD supremo Sukhbir Singh Badal and his brother in law Bikram Singh Majithia responsible for the shocking defeat of the party in assembly elections in 2017.”They looted the state by drug, sand,liquor,transport and cable mafia . Badal Saab turned a deaf ear to our grievances and did a gross injustice to the people of Punjab. Now I appeal to you to defeat such people when they come to your during these elections and make the victory of Bibi Paramjeet Kaur Khalra certain,” Brahmpura said addressing the gathering.Former MLA Ravinder Singh Brahmpura also addressed the gathering. Navjot Kaur Lambi, Amrik Singh, Baba Sarmukh Singh, Surinder Singh, Gurminder Singh, Inderjit, Baljinder Singh Pheloke and Damanjeet Singh, OSD to Brahmpura were also present on the occasion.
