Minister for Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation, Reconstruction and Floriculture Javaid Mustafa Mir today directed the officers of Irrigation and Flood Control and other allied departments to take all possible measures to deal with any situation arise due to incessant rains in past few days.On Saturday Minister rushed to Shalina, Seerbagh soon after locals complained that the area was likely to get inundated, owing to weak embankment along a stream. He personally visited the spot along with officers. The concerned officials immediately swung into action, due to which a possible breach was prevented.He gave directions to Deputy Commissioner Budgam Mohammed Haroon Malik, to ensure that preventive measures are taken to ensure no untoward incident take place.
