Minister for Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation, Reconstruction and Floriculture, Javaid Mustafa Mir sanctioned ex-gratia relief of Rs 4 lakh each, in favour of the next of kins (NoKs) of the three persons who died in a landslide at Kishtwar on Saturday.The Bakarwal families from Pathernaki, Kishtwar got trapped after their tents came under a landslide at Shasho Pader, a forest area of Kishtwar District. All the injured were shifted to the Primary Health Centre Kerro, where three women were declared brought dead. Other injured are undergoing treatment at the District Hospital. The deceased have been identified as Zeenam wife of Farooq Ahmed, Maryam wife of Noor Ahmed and Zareena wife of Noorani.The Minister gave the directions to Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar to ensure that ex-gratia relief is disbursed to the NoKs immediately and ensure proper medical care to the injured. He asked the District administration to assess the loss of their livestock and provide relief, in accordance with the NDRF/SDRF norms, without any delay.
