Minister for Cooperatives Chering Dorjay informed the Legislative Council that the government is looking into the demand for giving weightage to candidates possessing Cooperative diploma while making recruitment for various posts in the department.Replying to a question of Legislator Mohammad Khursheed Alam, the Minister said “We are contemplating to amend Jammu and Kashmir Cooperative (Subordinate Services) Recruitment Rules to give weightage to Cooperative Diploma holders’ the Minister said. He said the rules so framed would have provision to give weightage to them in addition to the basic qualification.”
