The Punjab Government has accorded approval for the recruitment to 550 posts in the Welfare department pertaining to Group ‘A’, ‘B’, ‘C’ and ‘D’.Disclosing this, SC/BC Minister, Punjab, Gulzar Singh Ranike said that a total of 4 posts would be filled under Group A, 64 posts under Group B, 252 posts would be filled under Group C while under Group D recruitment would be made to 230 posts. The minister further said that the aim of this recruitment drive is to increase manpower in order to ensure proper and effective implementation of welfare oriented schemes formulated by the government and make the benefits reach common man.
