Minister of State for PHE, Irrigation & Flood Control, Forest and Animal Husbandry, Abdul Majeed Padder said that strengthening and upgrading education system across the state is among priorities of present dispensation headed by Mufti Muhammad Sayeed, adding that efforts are being made to impart quality education on modern technological trends to bring a positive change in the Education scenario in the State.This was stated by the Minister, after inaugurating two Government School buildings at Khulahamadabad, Noorabad in Kulgam district today.The Minister inaugurated Girls Middle School and Boys Middle School buildings constructed at a cost of Rs 27.54 lakh and Rs 27.56 lakh respectively.

Chief Education Officer, Zonal Education Officers, besides other district officers, public representatives, and eminent citizens of the area were present on the occasion.Mr. Padder said that focused attention is being given to make education system of State at par with national level so that students are able to excel at all level exams. He urged teaching community to work with dedication and devotion for the betterment of future of nation. He also laid stress on inculcating moral and ethical values among students to ensure they become good human beings before becoming doctors, engineers, businessmen, teachers, layers, scientists.The Minister also asked students to work hard and not indulge in social evils. He urged them to take maximum advantage from facilities available in educational institutes.On the occasion, the Minister instructed the concerned for upgradation of road approaching to school, besides construction of footpath in the schools. He also asked PHE department officials to ensure supply of water in the schools.
