Minister for CA&PD and Transport, Ch. Mohammad Ramzan, Wednesday chaired a high level meeting of officers of CA&PD and Transport.
The Minister took a detailed review of the stock and supply position of food items under PDS including Rice, Sugar, Wheat, Atta and Kerosene Oil. He reviewed availability of LPG gas and its supply through Home delivery to the consumers.The Minister was informed that sufficient stocks have been lifted from FCI in all areas of Jammu province and the supply position is quite satisfactory. He was also informed that sufficient gas is available and home delivery is being made as per the public demand and according to the commitment of delivery in the remote areas.The Minister also took review of functioning of Transport department. He was informed about the exercise being taken by the Department for revision of fare, procurement and enforcement of mobile weigh bridges for checking overloading on vital routes both in Jammu/Srinagar, procurement of vehicles for all the ARTOs in a phased manner for checking of overload etc, and making available the licensing material for ensuring timely driving tests and trials also came under discussion during the review meeting.
