The Technical Education and Industrial Training Minister, Punjab, Madan Mohan Mittal today gave appointment letters to 156 craft instructors here today at the Punjab State Board of Technical Education and Industrial Training.Disclosing this, a spokesperson of the department said that these teachers were appointed on regular basis as part of a special initiative launched by the Department of Industrial Training. The Minister exhorted the newly appointed instructors to work with complete dedication.According to the spokesperson, the Minister also informed that 169 more posts of craft instructors would be filled on regular basis. He also said that 114 posts of Service Training Providers working with the department have been transferred to the craftsmen training scheme. Divulging more details, the Minister elaborated that 10000 more seats would be filled in ITIs in the coming academic session. These seats had earlier remained unfilled due to the staff crunch.On this occasion, Principal Secretary, Department of Technical Education and Industrial Training, Punjab, Mr. M.P. Singh IAS, Secretary,  Department of Technical Education and Industrial Training, Punjab, Mr. R.K. Verma , IAS, Director, Department of Technical Education and Industrial Training, Punjab, Mr. B. Purushartha, IAS and Additional Director, Industrial Training Wing, Punjab , Mrs. Daljit Kaur Sidhu were also present.
