Union Minister of State for Ayush and Health and Family Welfare, Sh. Prataprao Jadhav, paid a courtesy call on Haryana Governor Prof. Ashim Kumar Ghosh at Lok Bhavan here today. During the meeting, the Governor and the Union Minister held detailed discussions on various issues relating to the healthcare and Ayush sectors in Haryana.
Haryana Governor Prof. Ashim Kumar Ghosh reviewed the progress of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) under construction at Rewari and emphasized that the project should be completed within the stipulated timeframe so that the people of the region can start availing themselves of its advanced healthcare facilities at the earliest.
The Governor also sought an update on the National Institute of Ayurveda (NIA) at Panchkula. Briefing the Governor, Union Minister of State Sh. Prataprao Jadhav said that the Institute is already providing consultation and treatment to patients through its Outpatient Department (OPD) on a daily basis.
He further informed that the Institute will soon be formally inaugurated and dedicated to the nation by Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi.The Minister briefed the Governor on the initiatives being undertaken by the Government of India to strengthen the Ayush system of medicine and enhance healthcare infrastructure across the country.
Prof. Ashim Kumar Ghosh emphasized the need to further strengthen the healthcare delivery system to ensure that accessible, affordable, and quality medical services reach every citizen, particularly women and underprivileged living in remote and underserved areas. He stressed that continuous improvement in healthcare infrastructure and services is essential for achieving equitable healthcare for all.

The Union Minister informed the Governor that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi, the country is witnessing unprecedented expansion of healthcare infrastructure. He said the Government of India is giving equal priority to the promotion of the Ayush system of medicine as an integral part of holistic healthcare.
He further stated that Haryana is also witnessing rapid expansion of its healthcare infrastructure, with sustained efforts being made to ensure the availability of quality healthcare services for all sections of society, especially the poor and underprivileged.Advocate Manoj Bakshi also accompanied the Union Minister during the courtesy meeting.
