Stepping up the attack against the administration of Central University of Jammu (CUJ) for its failure to start construction work on the campus, National Secular Forum (NSF) took out a Strong protest in University Campus to express dissatisfaction over the functioning of the Central University. The protesting led by Sukhdev Singh President NSF, activitists were raising slogans against the Vice-Chancellor for not taking note of their demands and maintaining stoic silence over the entire matter.Singh criticized the working of Central University Vice-Chancellor and also to show there resentment against delay in coming up construction work in Central University of Jammu and no check accountability in functioning of Central University Jammu.He said the varsity has become a rehabilitation center for retired and corrupt officials. “The varsity administration has violated the norms by recruiting the retired teachers and other staff members. As per the Central University Statutes, the serving officials should not be above 65 years but the administration has recruited some teachers who are above 65years,” he said.

Sukhdev Singh also said that land has been identified by the government but till date this land is not acquired by the CUJ and no construction has started on the identified land. he said that the CUJ administration was ignoring the youth of Jammu region in jobs and jobs are being awarded to non-state subjects holder  thereby the CUJ, V-C was playing with the emotions and sentiments of Jammuties.Reiterating his demand for early removal of OSD (Admn), CUJ, Singh said, “There are many cases of corruption pending against Dr.Pathania in University of Jammu. He committed several frauds in JU misusing his official positions.He further said Pathania had been involved in decision making process and there is every possibility that he may resort to corrupt practices. “We appeal the Chancellor of Central University, to remove Pathania from his post till corruption charges are pending against him,” the NSF leader said.

“We fail to understand the silence of the organizations which fought for local person as the first Vice Chancellor of the university Jammu had got this prestigious institution after long struggle and no corrupt official should be allowed to ruin this institution,” NSF leader said.Among those who were present in the protest included, Akshey Sharma, Barket Ali, Vikram Madhyal, Qayoom Malik, Javed, Sanjeev Kumar, Sunil Kumar, Narinder Singh, Rishikesh Rana, Pushpinder Singh, Vicky Thakur, Ankit Sharma, and others.
