President Haryana Patarkar Sangh K.B. Pandit and Senior journalists Sh. G. Prabhakaran (Kerala) have been declared elected unopposed as president and Secretary General of Indian Journalists Union (IJU). The announcement was made today in Ahmedabad by Shri B.R. Prajapati, Chief electoral Officer for IJU-Election 2014. Shri Prajapati said that since no other nominations were received Shri Pandit and Shri Prabhakaran were being declared elected unopposed as president and Secretary General.Pandit will replace Shri Suresh Akhouri as president while it will be the second consecutive term as Secretary General for Shri Prabhakaran.
