The pension scheme  for journalists working in Chandigarh is under consideration of the  Chandigarh Administration  and a committee is working  on it. The Governor of Punjab and Administrator ,Chandigarh Banwari Lal Purohit assured a delegation of Chandigarh-Punjab Union of Journalists (CPUJ) led by Vinod Kohli, Member Press Council of India and President Indian Journalists Union ( IJU) who presented  him  memorandum at  Punjab  Raj Bhawan at Chandigarh today. 

The administrator informed that the medical facilities to accredited journalists will also be provided besides issuing bus passes. He further assured the delegation that  the administration is already aware about the issues related to Journalists welfare.  The delegation include General Secretary of CPUJ Mr Naveen Sharma, Convenor , Mrs Ranju Aery and Secretary , Dr Joginder Singh.
